How can I pause a Live DV Source ?

Hi,

it should be obvious but I don't see how I can pause the Live DV souce...
(I mean get a static image)

The simplest method for doing this is turning trace all the way up and then hiding the layer. Could be a problem though if you have other stuff running over it.

But what do you mean by "turning trace"
(I initially thought it was a module to turn on ! Laughing )

Bottom right of the main interface. The 'trace knob.'

I got inspired and did some experiments. It resulted in a module called "(i) Pause All + Video Capture". Basically it works like the "Still" button but also effects the video capture. It's based on Ilans explanation above.

Hopefully it makes it a little bit more convenient for live situations.
